Announcing our exceptional 2025 Inovyn Awards winners

  • IANUS Simulation & SKZ, ARCUS Greencycling Technologies and Aliaxis have been revealed as the 2025 Inovyn Awards Gold winners
  • A special judges’ commendation was awarded to the ‘My Walk made with soul’ initiative for supporting vulnerable communities.
  • 113 projects were submitted from 27 countries – making this the most global edition in the awards’ long history.

The Inovyn Awards are proud to announce its overall winners in each category:

In the Performance & Design category: IANUS Simulation & SKZ for KIcKER: Democratising industrial AI a cloud-based AI tool that transforms PVC profile die-cut design for SMEs, helping significantly reduce development time and costs by 75%.

In the Circularity category: ARCUS Greencycling Technologies for their ARCUS Pyrolysis Technology, an industrial-scale demonstration of how PVC-containing plastic waste can be effectively recycled through pyrolysis.

In the Reaching Net Zero category: Aliaxis for Zypho PiPe, an innovative and easy to install PVC-based heat recovery system for residential water use, helping households cut energy consumption by up to 67%.

The judges also awarded a Special Commendation to My Walk made with soul for their project From hospital waste to hope, an inspiring initiative that turns hospital PVC waste into children’s footwear, creating jobs and dignity in vulnerable South African communities.

  • Bronze: Grendene – Cartago Café sandals 

Circularity

  • Silver: Spica – Post-consumer PVC credit cards
  • Bronze: Benvic & Decathlon – Bed2Boots 

Reaching Net Zero

  • Silver: TOLI Corporation – The 96% Biomass Tile
  • Bronze: Vulcaflex – Nextfeel


Miguel Angel Prieto Arranz, Director of Specialty Chemicals at Cefic and Inovyn Awards judge, commented: “The quality and creativity of this year’s entries truly impressed me. As the jury, we found ourselves saying ‘wow’ more times than we could count. The level of innovation made voting a real challenge as every finalist showcased remarkable potential for supporting the vinyl industry’s transition to a low-carbon future.”

The winners were selected by a panel of expert independent judges, comprising of Richard Thommeret, polymers expert; Elisa Storace, curator at the Fondazione Museo Kartell in Milan; Dr Jason Leadbitter, ex chair of the British Plastics Federation Sustainability and VinylPlus Circular Committees, and Miguel Angel Prieto Arranz, Director of Specialty Chemicals at Cefic.

This marks the ninth edition of the Inovyn Awards, held every three years during the ‘K Fair’ in Germany, the world's largest trade event for plastics and rubber. Due to economic challenges, this year’s announcements were shared virtually.
